SkyLink Citadel from Blue Sky Network is a resilient anti-piracy solution. Easy to install and operate, SkyLink Citadel offers voice and data connectivity to the outside world when needed; and with battery backup ensures communications can continue, even if the external power is shut down.

Leveraging the Iridium Certus® satellite network, SkyLink Citadel provides two HD voice lines and the ability to send and receive emails from a connected laptop (ASTs onsatmail is an ideal compressed email solution). The mid-band data rate offers 88 kbps download and 22 kbps upload.

The SkyLink Citadel solution consists of the externally mounted outdoor terminal & antenna:

• Maritime certified IEC 60945
• Available in white or black outer shell
• Vibration mount, pole, and rail mount

A 100m cable, certified to IEC60332-3 incorporating heavy duty industrial metal turret connectors, gives separation between the outdoor unit and the citadel safe room. The safe room equipment includes:

• 1x POTS corded phone in lockable cabinet
• Junction Box with Ethernet Point (for laptop, etc.) and RJ11 Point (for second phone line)
• Battery back-up system with up to 48 hours battery life (Exceeds IMO BMP4 for anti-piracy)

Additional benefit can be gained from configuring the second voice line as back-up communications for captain or crew.
